Researcher at the DIDA Department of the University of Florence. Ph.D. in Design and Technology of Architecture, professor of Interior Design at the DIDA Department of Architecture, at the Free Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and visiting professor at international universities (NUAA University / Nanjing (China) – Alzhara University / Teheran (Iran).

He is a member of the managment committee and tutor of the Master Degree in Interior Design in the University of Florence and Mentor in charge of the Florence Overseas Campus program promoted and coordinated by Tongji University/Shanghai (China) and the University of Florence.

He graduated in Architecture with honors with prof. Adolfo Natalini in 1988. In November 1987 he was one of the founders of Atelier Metafora, a design research group active until 1992.

Since 1996 he has worked in industrial and architectural design by opening a personal office in Florence. Since 2007 he has carried out research activities at the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence in the field of interior design and product design.

He has published essays, volumes and articles on research topics, participated in national and international conferences and coordinated workshops in Italy and abroad. He is co-director of the book series Design Innovation Territory, published by the editor Franco Angeli in Milan and member of the scientific committee of the book series Design and City by the editor Navarra (Marsala).

He is the winner of architectural and design competitions and curator of exhibitions and installations. He is “ambassador for Italian design in the world” by appointment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He lives and works in Florence.
