Mad offers exhibitions, meetings, performances and workshops focusing on contemporary themes and artistic languages, with a strongly interdisciplinary approach. The Magazine Hall and the artists' residences offer a place for updating and training. MAD is a centre of research and artistic production for the city and about the city.
The exhibition, created in collaboration with the 56th Festival dei Popoli - International Festival of Documentary Film - and the Alinari Archives, reflects on a dark chapter in Italian history: colonialism in East Africa.
