Penelope Morout

Dancer, performer and choreographer

Penelope Morout is a Greek-French performance artist coming from a background of Dance and Architecture. She began her studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and graduated from the Greek National School of Dance in Athens (KSOT). She has also a bachelor’s and master’s equivalent in Architecture Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a master’s in Theatre Practices from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

She has taken classes and participated in various schools and festivals around the world. Penelope has collaborated professionally with various dance and theater companies. As an independent cross-disciplinary artist, her expressive tools are drawing, dancing, crafting, filming. Future plans include participation at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival in September 2020 with T.E.P. | The Elephant Project, an artivist collaboration with choreographer Christina Mastori (a live installation performance already presented in COME TOGETHER #4 Festival in Amsterdam in February 2019, NL), as well as premiering with her solo dance performance HIIT | High-Intensity Identity Training in September 2020 in Amsterdam and rehearsing on her new project SKIN.
