Co-produced by Murate Art District

Where the Sun of the Future Rises is a research based exhibition and a talk dedicated to the history of Alessandro Sinigaglia and Black resistance fighters in Italy. The exhibition is contextualized within the research platform Black Archive Alliance advanced by The Recovery Plan with the co-production of Murate Art District. This presentation represents the closing of a three year research residency within MAD and is designed to share a range of reflection on Black Florentine resistance fighter Alessandro Sinigaglia and other Black partigiani. This dialogue and exhibition highlight the archival traces, art works and contemporary activism linked to these important and under narrated historical figures. The event is a part of the festival Un’Altra Luna developed and coordinated by The Recovery Plan.

Talk with: Antonella Bundu, Antar Mohamed Marincola, Alessandro Pini
